&imgCount=2& &title=SHERRON RESIDENCE SEBASTOPOL, CALIFORNIA& &body=This 1960s ranch house faced the wrong way. The kitchen, dining and living rooms were small dark rooms oriented to the street. Yet the view from the rear of the house looks over a lovely garden, across a carefully planted riparian zone, up a hill into an old apple orchard and to a hilltop stand of pine trees in the distance. We reoriented the main living areas of the house to take advantage of the view. We created a large new kitchen with a huge island and separate areas for preparation, cooking, and clean up, and a breakfast nook that takes full advantage of the view. Two gable roofed additions of 120 S.F. each created space for the new kitchen and an enlarged master bedroom.& &img0=sherron01.jpg& &img1=sherron02.jpg&
