At Brickyard Cove in Point Richmond, we are building a contemporary, 3,700-square-foot waterfront residence that will actually be built out over the water on concrete piles sunk into San Francisco Bay. The home centers around a two-and-a-half story atrium, and the stepped plan provides light and views from two sides of all the major rooms of the house. The exterior materials reflect the organization of the building's forms: the center element will be solid-looking stucco, and the secondary forms will feature lapped siding in architectural counterpoint.&
