This remodel put the right amount of light in the right places: a smaller sink window and new openings in two other walls reduced glare by balancing the light in the room. A tall glass block backsplash at the stove draws in south light and creates a strong vertical element that accentuates the vaulted ceiling, and we added an operable skylight at the back wall over glass shelves.
