&imgCount=3& &title=& &body=The rooms in this 1940s ranch house desperately needed to breathe. Before the remodel, the rooms felt cramped and dim. Rather than adding expensive square footage, we vaulted the ceilings in the kitchen, dining and living rooms, and opened the walls between them. The house is now more airy, and the rooms are better connected. By removing two closets and pushing the pantries into the garage wall we produced a kitchen that now enjoys a more generous character and greater physical space.
