&body=Creative planning overcame the difficulties of designing a home for a very steep, uphill, pie- shaped lot. All the public spaces, with the exception of the kitchen, are enclosed under a single shed roof, yet each space is defined clearly by a change in level or shift in plan as the building steps up the slope. This openness, combined with economical circulation patterns, makes this three-bedroom house feel much larger than its 1650 square feet.&
